Dear readers,

it's one year that this blog exists, there were great events, people, news, coolhuntings, and almost 100,000 visits! Thank you!

Now I have a new job, a little dream came true.

I'm working as a graphic designer in the woman style office of Dolce & Gabbana.

That means that now I'm doing coolhunting, research, graphics and different projects exclusively for them! (and there is a LOT of work)

It's my choice although to pause this blog for now. A blog needs a lot of time, dedication and devotion to do it well. And now I don't have any time for it.

Sooner or later I'll come back. In the meantime I hope this link will continue to be a website that you'll check occasionally.

Oh, I also have a new hobby, and a new big project - write a book! Soon as I'll have some concrete material, I'll let you know!

So it's not a goodbye, but - see you soon!

A photo appeared in a Russian magazine that portrays Tom Ford (recently voted by GQ Russia, the sexiest man of the year), that smell from a perfume testers, taking them from the ass of a naked model.

Social networks seems to be upset by a picture like that, call it tacky.I rather like it. A bit of irony in fashion occasionally it's not so bad.

Are sexual abuses the latest fashion? This is the provocative claim that wants to bring to astrong reflection: in the fashion system as well, the magic world that makesthe rules of sleek style and elegance, expression of creativity, high skills,professionalism, you can find episodes of violence against weak, defenseless,inexperienced young guys. Fellows who rely on the experience and expertise ofprofessionals and, unintentionally, can fall into perverse dynamics androle-playing games that have nothing to do with their work.

La Pin-up più cliccata dagli appassionati di moda d'epoca e accessori d'antan torna più bella che mai ! Sono stata a Forlì il 18-19-20 Marzo, mi sono divertita tantissimo. Mille curiosità, vestiti, angoli remake e interviste.

Ora sta per iniziare la nuova edizione autunnale: dal 23 al 25 Settembre nei padiglioni fieristici di Forlì oltre 65 espositori provenienti da tutta Italia apriranno i loro negozi al pubblico che ormai fedele accorre numerosissimo (media di 15 mila visitatori ogni edizione) per accaparrarsi il meglio della moda autunnale dagli anni '40 agli anni '80, per uno shopping autenticamente vintage.

A tutti gli apassionati di vintage consiglio vivamente di andarci, è un paradiso da esplorare! Ecco cosa troverete:

Gli eventi collaterali, vera ciliegina sulla torta di ogni edizione forlivese, non mancheranno di sorprendere e allettare il pubblico di ogni tipo.
Ad accogliere il pubblico in zona atrio, sarà allestita una mostra dedicata al Fashion designer, e artista Issey Miyake, che ha rivoluzionato assieme agli altri stilisti Giapponesi, il rapporto tra abito e corpo, tra tecnologia e natura, tra unicità e praticità.
In esposizione una collezione di abiti principalmente degli anni 90 provenienti da una recente acquisizione dell’archivio di ANGELO Vintage Palace, creazioni bidimensionali che creano volumi inaspettati una volta indossati che evidenziano la capacità di Miyake di giocare sui labili confini tra tecnica, artigianato e arte.
In sala congressi Europa si terrà l’evento culturale “Polvere di Stelle”, sul Costume Jewerly, storia del bijoux americano d’epoca. Il convegno tenuto da SILVANA VENTURINI genovese laureata in storia dell’arte e archeologia, analizzerà la storia del bijoux americano dall’Ottocento fino agli anni 60.

Non mancheranno come sempre i corner di modernariato e articoli da collezionismo, come i profumi d'epoca, i vinili e gli hi-fi degli anni '80, che ancora resistono nella memoria di tutti.
L'area più creativa, dedicata al Remake, proporrà capi sartoriali e pazze idee per arredare casa, ricavando lampade da oggetti di scarto o tende patchwork da vecchi tessuti, rigorosamente vintage!

I dieci consigli di stile di Stefano Guerrini per la stagione Autunno Inverno 2011.
1) I foulard sono uno dei tratti distintivi del mio stile. Soprattutto se vintage. Da indossare anche, e soprattutto, a contrasto.
2) Un denim superstoned, ma da portare con un maglioncino quasi bon ton. Amo le contaminazioni di stile!
3) Comfy is in! Basta con i pantaloni superskinny!
4) Gli affetti trascendono i trend. I cordoncini intrecciati o il braccialetto che ti ha regalato la tua dolce metà sono sempre di moda.
5) Boys in the hood! Adoro i maglioni con cappuccio in inverno.
6) Gli orologi sono in. Per anni non li ho portati, limitandomi a guardare l’ora nel cellulare. Di recente però ne ho trovato alcuni originali anni settanta, ancora funzionanti, in un mercatino. È stato amore a prima vista!
7) Una cintura sottile, ma indossata come un bracciale, la cravatta come sciarpa e non annodata! Per un tocco di originale imprevedibilità.
8) Un giubbino in denim anche nei mesi freddi. Suggerisco di indossarlo con una camicia tartan o con un maglioncino a collo alto nero e aderente. A ricordare il look di Gerard Malanga, collaboratore di Warhol e playboy della Factory.
9) Un accessorio colorato può illuminare una giornata, anche quelle piovose autunnali.
10) Dare to be different. Osate essere una voce fuori dal coro. Anche quando si tratta di stile.

Put together: London, pop art, diversity, punk culture, pop culture, art, music, underground culture, family, and you'll get an AH-MAZING project.

I love the name of the project, and I'm in love with it's creator, Andrea Merlot, the guy who after plenty of foreign experiences decides to set foot into the fashion industry in order to make an actual impact on the way people see this phenomenon, starting from the youngsters.
The main aim of this project is to emphasize the artistic side of fashion in a world where consumerism and capitalism have almost accomplished to destroy the true meaning of art and freedom to express oneself without fearing judgement. Andrea decides to do something about it with the help of some of his best creative friends and personalities he has come across with throughout the years by getting these people together and by building one strong creative family.

The POWER of this project is the Ah-mazing family, a group of creative souls who have as common element Andrea Merlot and his ah-mazing projects.

And this ah-mazing new shows very well the whole project:

Last night I was at Magnolia at the concert of Giuliano Palma & Bluebeaters. I only knew a couple of his songs, I accept to go only for have fun. And I had a nice surprise! Giuliano and his band on stage were great! Beautiful music, reggae rhythm and lyrics, very catchy. I danced and enjoyed a lot.
But the highlight of the evening was the end when Giuliano thanked us for the lovely evening, saying it was difficult for him because his father died. He did not want to do the concert, but his mother told him: ''Go, Dad would have wanted you to go.'' I cried. Enviable energy with which this man has done a 2 hour spectacular concert.
From now I'm fan of Giuliano Palma. Respect.

Ieri sera ero al Magnolia al concerto di Giuliano Palma & Bluebeaters. Conoscevo solo un paio di canzoni sue, e ho accetto di andare solo per divertirmi un po. E ho avuto una bella sorpresa! Giuliano e la sua band sul palco sono stati grandi! Bella musica, ritmo reggae, e testi molto orecchiabili. Ho ballato e mi sono divertita tanto.
Ma il momento clou della serata è stata la fine, quando Giuliano ci ha ringraziato per la bella serata, dicendo che era difficile per lui perché suo padre se ne era andato. Non voleva fare il concerto, ma sua madre gli disse: ''Vai, papà avrebbe voluto che fai ci vai'' Ho pianto. Energia invidiabile con la quale quest'uomo ha fatto un concerto di 2 ore spettacolari.
Da ora sono fan di Giuliano Palma. Respect.

Dopo 6 anni che sono a Milano, ho finalmente visto l'Arco della Pace.. stupendo! Suggerisco di andare a visitarlo in queste giornate calde, dato che sotto all'arco, c'è una corrente di aria meravigliosa!

E' proprio vero che alcuni libri devono attendere il loro momento per essere letti. E' un anno esatto che Colazione da Starbucks di Laura Fitzgerald è nella mia libreria. L'ho comprato perchè si trovava nel mio reparto preferito di romanzi (cosidetta 'lettura facile') che trattano di NY, shopping e amore. Argomenti che riescono a rilassarmi molto.
Non avevo mai letto la trama, fino all'altro giorno. Cercavo una 'lettura facile' nell'archivio di libri non letti comprati nella mia libreria, un libro che possa staccare la mia mente da questi giorni duri che sto vivendo. E poi trovo la trama giusta. Per il suo ventisettesimo compleanno Tami riceve il visto per trasferirsi negli Stati Uniti. un visto che le può dare la libertà, tanto sognata, un visto che scade entro 90 giorni. L'unico modo per rimanere è trovare un cittadino americano disposto a sposarla.
Il testo corre fluido e leggero tra Teheran e Tucson, Arizona. Triste ma anche divertente il cambiamento di vita di Tami, dal 'hijah'(velo il quale in Iran devono indossare le donne), alla biancheria intima di Victoria's Secret e il caffè da Starbucks che ti apassiona sempre di più pagina dopo pagina. Le dure regole della vita che non possono combattere contro la speranza, HOPE, si intrecciano con storie di amore.
Ho pianto, e molto.
Mi sono ricordata della mia speranza che ormai sembra che l'abbia avvolta in un 'hijah', anche se la legge qui non lo chiede.
E dopo averlo letto tutto d'un fiato, in 24 ore, ho messo in carica la mia macchina fotografica, e ricomincio a fotografare l'amore che mi circonda. Proprio come Tami fotografava la libertà. Anche perchè, qui la legge la creatività la tollera, e io sono qui proprio per questo.

Un libro emizionante, leggero e intelligente, lo suggerisco a chiunque abbia bisogno di speranza in questo momento.

I was so happy to have received the invitation, so happy to finally be at this live show. I have seen many shows, many brands, but the desire to see Domenico and Stefano work, besides the usual events, it was thrilling me!
And there it started, Kiss Sex Machine remix by Prince vs James Brown soundtrack and great looking models! They were wearing foulards, denim, washed linen and touches of leather, both volume and fit get softer for a more relaxed style; fabulous hand-stitched moccasins in foulard-printed suede and raffia or foulard-printed hats.
Foulards as the central element in the making of blazers, bomber-jackets, t-shirts, trousers, shorts and accessories. I found it very cool.

And we LOVE the finale that as usally Stefano and Domenico do, this time with all boys in foulard-printed swimming trunks!

Nero, avorio, rosso, grigio e verde, le borse della linea Boy della collezione a-i 2011-12 di Chanel, appaiono ancora più affascinanti, perché conservano nelle loro linee moderne e geometriche qualche tratto retro. Ricalcano le forme della classica 2.55 mantenendone in linea di massima proporzioni e filosofia, che vengono però rivisitate in chiave nuova.
Inutile dire che ne sono innamorata. Chi non vorrebbe avere un 'Boy' sulla spalla? Ma dato il prezzo (dai 2500 dollari ai 4000 e oltre), non mi resta che sognare..

Federica Moretti apre il suo primo Hat Store a pochi passi dal duomo modenese.
Finalmente pure il grande pubblico potrà acquistare i suoi preziosissimi capolavori, di alta qualità e con prezzi accessibili!
Essendo sua buon amica sarò anche di parte, ma credo veramente che è da molto che non sono stata a un evento così bello!
Il negozio è una meraviglia, le nicchie per i cappelli, lo specchio gigante in fondo, i manichini, il parquet.. Non c'è nulla messo a caso, non c'è nulla che non va. Tutto è semplicemente.. perfetto!
L'inaugurazione è stata pure di grande qualità. Molta gente si è fermata a curiosare nel nuovo paradiso modenese, che brillava più che mai a suon di musica. Non mancava un buffet meraviglioso: ciliege, gnocco fritto, tigelle, prosciutto.. il cibo caratteristico è risultato buonissimo!
Non mi resta che augurarle un gran in bocca la lupo! Ti voglio bene!

As her good friend, I will be biased, but I truly believe that it is long since I have not been to a so nice event!
The shop is marvel, the niches for the hats, the giant mirror, the mannequins, the floor .. Nothing is placed at random, there is nothing wrong. Everything is simply .. perfect!
The inauguration was also of great quality. Many people stopped to browse in the new Modena's paradise, brighter than ever with music. There was also a wonderful buffet: cherries, fried dumplings, tigelle, ham .. the food was characteristic and delicious!
I can only wish you good luck! I love you dear!

la vostra dea mademoiselle (tifosa del Milan), ieri è stata invitata al party della presentazione del libro MILAN FASHION SOCCER PLAYERS PORTRAITS, nel store di Dolce&Gabbana, Corso Venezia 13 Milano.
All'entrata un vero e proprio red carpet con una folla immensa di gente che pazienti attendevano i loro idoli. Fotografi, vip.. altro che festival di Cannes, da Dolce&Gabbana sembrava essere su un altro pianeta. Dopo la sfilata sul red carpet si entrava nel cortile del negozio dove c'èrano bandiere del Milan, immagini di ritratti presenti nel libro, un grande schermo che riportava tutti i goal più belli della stagione, tanto champagne di lusso e LEI, la COPPA dei Campioni! I giocatori c'èrano quasi tutti, vestiti nell'elegantissimo vestito di Dolce&Gabbana, erano proprio belli, lì, insieme a noi, a girare e scambiare due parole con tutti. Sono una fan di Pato, e dopo averlo conosciuto, lo sono ancor di più! Gentile, bello, disponibile e bravo. Un ragazzo d'oro! Ho amato anche Anna Dello Russo presente anche lei insieme ai suoi amici Stefano e Domenico. La serata si è conclusa con una valanga di coriandoli rosso-neri che piovevano dal cielo con la canzone del Milan. E il libro come regalo ce lo siamo portati a casa! I ritratti sono favolosi! your dea mademoiselle (Milan fan), yesterday was invited to the party presenting the book MILAN FASHION SOCCER PLAYERS PORTRAITS in Dolce & Gabbana store, 13 Corso Venezia Milan.
At the entrance a real red carpet with a huge crowd of people waiting for their idols. Photographers, vip .. more than Cannes festival, at Dolce & Gabbana seemed to be on another planet. After the parade on the red carpet we entered in the courtyard of the shop where there were banners of Milan, images of portraits that are in the book, a big screen showing all the most beautiful goal of the season, the luxury champagne and SHE, the Cup of Champions! The players were all dressed in Dolce & Gabbana, they looked really beautiful, with us there, to spin and chat with everyone. I'm a fan of Pato, and after meeting him, I'm even more so! Nice, nice, helpful and good. A golden boy! I also loved Anna Dello Russo there with her friends Stefano and Domenico. The evening ended with an avalanche of black and red stripes that rained from the sky with the song of Milan. And the book as a gift we led to the house! The pictures are fabulous! Details soon!

Royal Wedding Fever

It is from 11 am this morning I drink wine .. The prince, the princess, the coaches, the castle, the gray horses .. as the tales that have given us a distorted view of love throughout childhood. But I have followed, all the marriage, making me fooled for a second time.

I think they are also a rock couple.

Her dress, McQueen, love it. Reminds Grace Kelly, but who cares, she looks amazing!

What’s the craziest thing a fan has ever done or asked you asked you guys?

Josh: Uh…I don’t know if we can say that in a magazine.
Martinelli: Tell her.. Tell her about the dress.
Josh: Oh yeah, someone turned up in a wedding dress and asked me to marry her.

That’s creepy.

Josh: Yeah, in Milan.
Martinelli: In Milan!

Oh yeah, that’s crazy.

Do you remember when I asked Josh Beech to marry me?
Well, he is single now, but then was madly in love with his ex-girlfriend, and who am I, Queen of Love Factory, to separate people?
Although my gesture impressed Josh so much to talk about in interviews as the craziest thing a fan has ever done for him. I am very proud.
So I share with you the interview with the Daily Dose of Josh Beech, great Twitter page with a lot of good news and pictures about JB. They posted also the peak of my LOVE FACTORY shots with Josh!

On March 18th, 2011, Vestra Vera Press sent a representative out to Austin, Texas to see Josh Beech and The Johns. An up and coming band from the UK. They just recorded an EP called ‘She’. It’s available on iTunes now. On April 4th, they’ll make it available to buy the CD itself. Great, great guys. Fantastic music. If you haven’t listened, go to iTunes right now and check them out. We also gave the boys an Iron Man costume. You can see Josh Beech attempting to put the children’s size costume on here.

What’s your favorite part of touring?

Josh: Uh..Meeting the fans.
Martinelli: [laughs] Wearing Iron Man stuff.
Turnham: Yeah, wearing Iron Man stuff.

Has there been any on tour pranks or any embarrassing situations with you guys?

Josh: Uh, I don’t think there’s ever been a time in our day where there isn’t an embarrassing situation.
Martinelli: Yeah, seriously.
Josh: Yeah. We’re constantly making mistakes.

This question is for you guys anyway (Turnham and Martinelli).
When the two of you are together how do they tell the two of you apart? Do you guys have nicknames?

Martinelli: How did we get together, you said?

Sure.

Martinelli: Well, Josh has known John for ages, they were in previous bands together. And then Josh found me somehow, we became friends and we all started playing.

Do you have nicknames to tell you apart?

Martinelli: I’m sorry?

Since you’re both John?

Turnham: I’ve just been Turnham.
Martinelli: He’s Turnham and I’m Mart.

No nicknames?

Martinelli: No, no, no. We’re boring. You can give us nicknames if you want.

I’ll think about it, I’ll tweet it to you guys.

[Laughing]
Martinelli: I want nicknames. But make it something cool like ‘Danger’.

We’re going to get your fans to give you nicknames.

Martinelli: I want good ones. Yeah.

What song off the EP is your favorite?

Josh: She.
Martinelli: She.
Turnham: She. Yeah, She.

Okay, Is there a standard writing process for you guys?

Josh: Uh, It’s changing at the moment, it used to be that I would just write the songs but now…he(Martinelli) and I started writing together. And John(Turnham) comes in with his own stuff.

Do you have any plans for a full length album?

Josh: Yeah, we’re writing it at the moment.
Martinelli: Yeah.

Awesome, I can’t wait for that.

Josh: Actually we expect it to be finished by August.
Martinelli: The deadline is in August.
Josh: Yeah August. Because we expect to have it out by October.

Who would you consider your musical influences?

Josh: Uhm, Thrice, John Mayer, Deftones, The Beatles.
Martinelli: Uh, Barry White.

That’s a good range right there.

Martinelli: It’s getting much better just now.
Josh: Blink-182

What motivated you to pursue music?

Martinelli: Thrice brought me to music

I’ve seen Thrice a couple of times actually.

Martinelli: I’ve seen them up from seventeen times. That’s how much I love them.

I totally understand.

Martinelli: They brought me to music.
Josh: Uh…The Beatles really.
Martinelli: Pink Floyd.
Josh: Yeah, Pink Floyd. My mum used to blast Pink Floyd when I was a little.
Turnham: The Beatles for me, my mum was a Beatles fanatic.
Martinelli: Yeah, like Josh said the Beatles. They were an amazing band.

If you weren’t in a band or modeling what would you be doing?

Josh: Uh, probably working in Starbucks
Martinelli and Turnham: [laugh] Starbucks
Josh: No, but seriously I think I would be doing something helping animals, really.
Josh: I love animals.

How do you think the music scene in the UK differ from the US?

Martinelli: They’re mental here.
Josh: Uh..I think like..the UK to the US? It’s hard to tell at the moment because we’re only just coming over here. This is our first time ever playing here. It’s like we’re a new band. And they don’t know who we are. We’re trying to build it up and I think time will tell. Everybody who we’ve met who’s come to our gigs is like been so nice. It’s like really lovely, warm people. We’ve all been in bands previously that weren’t quite big. When you’re not big, people just fucking talk all the way through. Shit. In England they do it the whole time. Here they don’t. There’s a lot, yeah, a lot of respect. More respect for musicians, I think. So, I’ll have to say it’s better in the US, I think.

This is for Josh. Do you know you have fan blogs on the internet?

Josh: Uh…yeah, he winds me up about it.
Martinelli: Yeah, it’s quite funny. It’s funny.

An owner of one of the blogs (Karla from Josh Beech Daily), asked us to ask you a question.

Josh: Okay?

She wants to know what your favorite Jeff Buckley song is.

All three: Oooh.
Martinelli: That’s a great question.
Josh: Grace.
[Pause]
Josh: Oh..wait. Is it Grace?
Martinelli: Are you sure? Yeah, it’s probably Grace because Grace is so good.
Josh: Is it Grace that uh [hums melody]? Is that it?
Martinelli: I have no idea.
Josh: Oh and Last Goodbye is so sweet. [sings lyrics] No, yeah. I would go with Grace.

For the two of you (John and Mart). On the internet, we can find anything out about you. We need a couple of facts about you guys(John and Mart).

Martinelli: Couple of facts. Okay, uh I don’t know about this.

I have you on record.

Martinelli: Oh, I know. No, I know. I’m just trying to be reasonable. But…a couple of facts. Want to help us, Josh?
Josh: With what?
Martinelli: She wants a couple of facts.
Josh: What? About you two?
Martinelli: Yeah.
Josh: He likes pasta. And his first band played in Japan before he was like [mumbling] seventeen[?]
Martinelli: And uh, I like brunette girls.
Josh: You can have a go, because he likes brunette girls.

Well, that’s another one. They’re going to come following you.

Turnham: I like blondes.
Josh: I don’t have a fancy
Turnham: When I’m not playing music with them. I work for Green Smoke Records, a Hip-Hop recording company in the UK.

Okay, well that’s all the questions. I guess we’re done.

Josh: It’s done?
Martinelli: Well make up more questions!

Yeah, how are you going to put me on the spot like this?

Josh: Oh come on.
Martinelli: Think up with something really weird.
Josh: We don’t mind because you’re really cool.

Really weird? Ask each other weird questions. Go.

Josh: What color is your penis right now, mate?
Martinelli: Really, really red.

I’ll be sure to include that. that’s another cool fact for them to know.

Josh: Uh, And also you should put We love partying. Like some of the videos of us on the internet, right. Don’t take them too seriously. We’ve never actually killed anyone, that’s a lie.

Now we have that on record.

Josh: None of us have girlfriends.

Well there, you go something else your fans would love to know. Now you can only be bombarded and you can only blame yourselves.

Martinelli: That’s alright.
Josh: Bring them on.
Martinelli: We’ve only done it to ourselves.
Josh: You want to meet our guitar tech guitar tech, Dan Lancaster?
Dan: Hi

Well, since you’re here you’re going to have to give us a fact about yourself.

Josh: Uh, He is the first official member of the crew.
Martinelli: Yeah, yeah. He’s a pretty big deal.
Josh: I’ll tell you a fact about Dan Lancaster he’s probably the worst guitarist out of anyone in the band.
Martinelli: The worst guitar tech ever. [Laughs] Well, that’s something you want in a guitar tech.
Josh: And he likes, what color girls? Oh, yeah he likes tall girls.
Martinelli: Tall girls.

Alright, tall girls. They’re going to be all lining up and you’ll only have to blame yourselves. But I think that’s it.

Martinelli: Thanks a lot.
Turnham: Yeah.
Josh: Thanks so much.

Bundling six years of life

24 anni fa..

.. sognavo la mia seconda casa. Oggi mi sto trasferendo nella mia quinta casa.
Mi sto per assentare per qualche periodo causa trasloco. Mi aspetta un bel po di coolhunting da fare dentro la mia camera, dove ho passato gli ultimi 6 anni. Sono convinta di scovare tesori veri accumulati in questo bellissimo periodo della mia vita.

Ma ora sta iniziando un altro periodo. E come il mio caro amico Davor insegna, la forza per andare avanti c'è sempre.

24 years ago .. I dreamed my second home. Today I am moving into my fifth house.
I'm going to be away for some time due to relocation. I'm sure I'm going to do a lot of coolhunting in my room, where I spent the last 6 years. I am convinced to unearth real treasures from this beautiful period of my life.
